# Swap FIL and cFIL

In order to stake Filecoin, users need to swap FIL (Filecoin) to synthetic asset cFIL.

### Swap on the CrossFi DApp (FIL -> cFIL)

1. Go to the wallet section on the CrossFi DApp.
2. Click the 'Swap' button on the cFIL balance section.
3. Deposit FIL into the copied address for exchange.

1. Go to the wallet section on the CrossFi DApp.
2. Click the 'Swap' button on the cFIL balance section.
3. Click the arrow between FIL and cFIL to switch.
4. Enter the amount and the receiving FIL address for exchange.
5. Confirm.
